Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child be tutored by an Ontario certified teacher?
Your child’s tutor will either be an Ontario certified teacher or a highly qualified subject matter expert. If you have a preference, you may request it according to availability.
How many years of experience do the tutors have?
Each of our qualified tutors have at least 4 years of experience tutoring, and up to 10 years of experience in education.
What are your fees?
Our fees vary depending on the course chosen, the length of the session, and the number of students in each session. Please contact us for a quote.
What if I want to enroll my child in more than one course?
Should you wish to enroll your child in multiple courses, the price of each course will be at the discounted group rate. Should you wish to enroll a group in multiple courses, each course will be discounted by an additional 10%**
How do I pay?
Payment can be made by cash or email money transfer to info@topscholarstutoring.com at the beginning of each session (for drop in sessions). For monthly sessions, a 50% deposit is required at the beginning of the session and a final payment is due at the end of the month.
Where are you located?
You decide where you want your tutoring sessions to be held! You have the choice and convenience of having a tutor come to your home, or to schedule sessions at your local public library! Want to switch it up? No problem! Just let us know 24 hours in advance where you prefer!
How will I know my child is progressing?
Your tutor will give you updates at the end of each week to let you know what was worked on, how your child did, and how they have been improving after each session. We will also recommend tips to help you help your child at home.
Will my child be given homework?
Homework may be given at the end of a session to reinforce learning, check for understanding, or to practice study skills and concepts. We recommend that homework is completed prior to the next tutoring session.
Do you work with students on an IEP (Individual Educational Plan)?
Yes, we work with your child’s IEP to provide a customized tutoring session.
